The ancestor field starts in the center with one triangle, the place for the client, or yourself. Behind the self you find two triangles that represent the two parents, then four that represent the grandparents and so on till the 64 triangles of the 7th generation. Some people say the design of this ancestor field looks like an unfolding flower, or like an eagle that spreads its wings. Using small pebbles or other objects, the user or therapist can create all kinds of rituals that address our relationship with the ancestors: to create connections where they were missing, to establish borders where they are necessary, to give a place to those who were rejected and much more. The Ancestor field is printed on a square piece of certified ecological cotton, measuring about 65×65 cm. It can be washed in the washing machine in water of up to 60 degrees without loss of color.
