Sometimes it happens, when I sing in a group and the people who are present are engaged in a ritual or exercise, that a shift is felt by all. How to describe it precisely? As if we are suddenly in another zone, as if we have moved to a place of deeper knowing and trust. It is hard to put words to it, but all who are there know and recognize when it happens. At some moment in time, I started to record my singing at such moments and this CD presents a collection of these songs. The sound quality isn’t as good as the earlier CD’s, but in the studio we could improve the original recordings quite a lot. What the CD lacks in technical perfection is more than compensated up by the magic and emotional depth of the recordings. Athalbero (meaning ‘noble bear’ in old Germanic) offers a journey of subtle magic, healing and gentle transformation.
